Welcome to ISAHU - The Illinois State Association of Health Underwriters

The Illinois State Association of Health Underwriters (ISAHU) is a state affiliate of the National Association of Health Underwriters.

NAHU, “America’s Benefits Specialists”, was founded in 1930. Its membership is comprised of agents/brokers, consultants, carrier representatives, representatives of TPAs and other benefits industry firms such as PBMs, stop loss carriers, etc., worksite marketing specialists, and long term care and disability insurance wholesalers.

As a public service we annually update and publish a consumer guide outlining all of the health insurance options in Illinois, public and private. This guide is called the Illinois Health Care Options Matrix.
